Alex Koustov received his law degree in 2008 from the University of Saskatchewan. He articled and practiced with McKercher LLP, one of the premier law firms in Saskatchewan, from 2008-2013. He relocated to Calgary in 2014 and resumed an independent criminal and family law practice.
Alex has extensive experience in handling various criminal charges with a wide range of severity. He has appeared in both the Provincial Court and the Court of Queen's Bench giving him extensive experience in bail hearings and contested dispositions.
His strengths as a lawyer are his effective and sustained communication with clients and their state resources and his organization and timely execution of files. Alex’s history of effective negotiations with the Crown Prosecutors in reaching plea deals also contributes to his strength in defending clients.
